Two years ago, AS Saint-Etienne had sensed the good luck with Alphonso Davies, but could not materialize his arrival in Forez for lack of means.
Landed in Munich in January 2019 from Vancouver for 10 million euros, Alphonso Davies crossed the thresholds at high speed. In a year and a half, the left side became an indisputable holder of the Bavarian eleven, relegating to the bench of the replacements the biggest transfer in the history of the German club (80 million euros), the 2018 world champion with the Blues, Lucas Hernandez.
Yet Davies could have taken a whole different path. According to Le Parisien, he could have continued his progress in France, at PSG in particular, for a long time in competition on this file with their future opponents in the Champions League final on Sunday.
