ASSE also states “None of the identified contact subjects – players and staff members – will be in contact with the group currently in training at Dinard once it has returned to the training center. All the infrastructures of the AS Saint-Étienne headquarters are being disinfected. “
6 positive cases declared during the recovery
It should be remembered that ASSE had its first cases of Coronavirus contamination at the start of the preparation for the season. As of June 18, the club had reported 5 positive COVID-19 cases, including 3 among the professional squad, out of 33 players. 21 members of the management were tested on June 17, when they arrived at the Robert-Herbin Sports Center. On Friday, June 19, the Greens had reported a 6th positive case. On Wednesday, August 5, PCR tests carried out also revealed a positive case for COVID-19 in the professional workforce. The affected player was immediately isolated. Result ? The friendly match scheduled for Friday August 7, against the Hertha Berlin, at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, had been canceled.
