The summer preparation of AS Saint-Etienne has perhaps just suffered a serious setback. PCR tests carried out on Wednesday revealed the presence of a positive case for COVID-19 within the professional workforce. The affected player was immediately isolated.
In its press release the club specifies that: “The sanitary conditions initially defined for the organization of the match between AS Saint-Étienne and Hertha BSC, scheduled for tomorrow Friday at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, no longer allow this meeting to be held. New tests are scheduled this Saturday and next Monday. The club applies with the greatest rigor the health precautionary measures imposed by public authorities and football authorities“.
Dinard internship maintained
Monday the ASSE players must take the direction of Dinard (Brittany) for an internship. This course is maintained for the moment but it depends on the results of the tests which will be carried out this Saturday and this Monday.
