The metropolitan installation council on Tuesday 7 July took place at the Fauriel Congress Center in Saint-Etienne. Gaël Perdriau was re-elected President of Saint-Étienne Métropole.
Gaël Perdriau (LR), mayor of Saint-Etienne, was elected with 87 votes out of 122 voters. 31 community councilors voted blank or void. Only one other candidate declared himself at the start of the session: the mayor of Lorette, Gérard Tardy. The latter collected 4 votes. Marc Petit, the former mayor of Firminy, absent on Tuesday at the metropolitan council, had not given a proxy.
The 19 vice-presidents were also elected:

– Sylvie Fayolle, 2nd vice-president in charge of sustainable development and ecological transition
– Georges Hallary, 3rd vice-president in charge of economic development, innovation and international relations.
– Siham Labich, 4th vice-president in charge of social cohesion, city policy, disability, fight against discrimination, circular economy
– Christian Julien, 5th vice-president in charge of finance and budget
– Gilles Thizy, 6th vice-president in charge of territorial cohesion and land strategy
– Christophe Faverjon, 7th vice-president in charge of higher education
– Gilles Artigues, 8th vice-president in charge of housing and habitat
– Luc François, 9th vice-president in charge of transport and mobility
– David Fara, 10th Vice-President responsible for agriculture, the agricultural and food transition
– Marc Chassaubéné, 11th vice-president in charge of design, culture and digital
