AS Saint-Etienne : Football: US Orleans has found its second goalkeeper on the side of AS Saint-Etienne | ASSE News

US Orleans has set its sights on Théo Vermot (23), third or fourth goalkeeper at AS Saint-Etienne this season, for the replacement porter station. Our colleague Macky Diong, always well informed on the news of the Greens, revealed this indiscretion on Monday on his Twitter account. The information is not yet formalized by the club, but several sources confirm the keen interest of the USO for the Stéphanois, free since June 30. He should initial his engagement mid-week.

Originally from Fréjus, Théo Vermot joined ASSE in the summer of 2015 and never appeared in Ligue 1. Cantoned in place of n ° 3, even n ° 4 in the hierarchy, under the Gasset, Printant and Puel eras, he argued twenty matches with the reserve, in N2 or N3, these last five seasons.

The eighth recruit of the summer

The USO will therefore not have wasted time finding Jérémy Vachoux’s successor, designated replacement on recovery, but who broke his contract (which still ran for two years) on the following Tuesday. He is the eighth rookie of the summer, after Ismaël Keita, Djessine Seba (Cholet, N1), Franck L’Hostis (Le Puy, N1), Carnejy Antoine (Saint-Pryvé, N2), Bryan Teixeira (Clermont Foot, L2), Florian Lapis (Chamois Niortais, L2 ) and Loïc Goujon (Red Star, N1).

Théo Vermot shares the sessions with Franck L’Hostis, who therefore leaves as holder for the purpose, and Ludovic Le Pennec, number 3, under the direction of Bertrand Baillou, the position specialist in the staff of Claude Robin.

While US Orleans had announced his departure in June, Cyrille Carrière returned to the club on Monday morning
