8th last season, ASSSE has jumped in the rankings of French training centers.

The 2020 ranking of the best training centers in France, established by the French Football Federation (FFF), has just been unveiled. 20th in 2018, the club had already climbed to 8th place during the 2018-2019 season.

The 2019-2020 season saw ASSE progress on the 5 efficiency criteria adopted by the DTN. Indeed, after lifting the Gambardella Cup 2019, 12 players from the winning squad initialed or extended their first professional contract and were summoned at least once by Claude Puel. Among them, Stefan Bajic and Maxence Rivera played their first professional match, Bilal Benkhedim scored his first professional goal while Mahdi Camara, Charles Abi and Wesley Fofana passed the 20 appearances mark. The quality of Saint-Etienne training is also measured internationally. Despite a season shortened by the health crisis, the players trained by the club played, in total, 22 games under the colors of the different teams of France. Finally, with 7 high school students passing the baccalaureate out of eight enrolled and a 94% success rate for the college diploma exam, the school results confirm the double excellence project carried out by ASSE.
