Panic movement around 11 am when 2 men shouted “Allah Akbar”, at the Géant Monthieu in Saint-Etienne. No injuries but many shocked customers.

The store was reopened around 12:30 p.m. after a police site verification. According to the first elements of the investigation, in one of the shelves of the store, one of 2 men started to say his prayer on the ground before shouting, several times, “Allah Akbar”. The two men are said to have left the store, passing through the crates, to pay for a waterman. At the end of the afternoon, one of the 2 men was arrested at his home. This thirty-something was already known for proselytizing.
