RC Lens prepares its transfer window in Ligue 1
RC Lens vice-champion last season, RC Lens will return to the top flight after five years of absence. The management of Sang et Or has already turned to next season. It is in this sense that it intends to sign many reinforcements this summer. As indicated The Future of Artois, Racing should recruit from Ligue 1 rivals in the next transfer window. The regional newspaper thus indicates that Lens “could take advantage of the somewhat wobbly situation of certain teams such as Saint-Etienne or Bordeaux”. The media suggests that the two clubs plan to reduce their workforce after a season below expectations (12th place for the Girondins and 17th for ASSE).
Toulouse not spared by Lens?
With particular regard to AS Saint-Etienne, Claude Puel has since its arrival in October announced a major cleaning. If he has not been able to carry out his degreasing operation during the winter, the Stéphane technician should do so this summer. RC Lens will therefore be particularly interested in the situation of the Greens. According to The Future of Artois, the Sang et Or have an envelope of 13 million euros, excluding sales, for the next transfer window. While waiting for names to leak among the Girondins and ASSE, Racing intends to complete the transfer of Corentin Jean. Loaned with the option of purchase by Toulouse FC, the striker will be retained by Lens. Like him, Max-Alain Gradel should not play in Ligue 2 next season with Téfécé. The Ivorian could stay in Ligue 1 by signing to the artesian club.
