It’s a long-awaited meeting for three that is looming on the horizon. According to information relayed by Le Progrès, the leaders of the French Football Federation (FFF) should meet at the same time those of Paris Saint-Germain and AS Saint-Etienne to discuss the holding of the famous final of the Coupe de France, originally scheduled for April 25 but postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

With or without an audience?
“We have agreed to meet with Paris and the FFF in private. It would be a good thing to make the right decisions together,” said Bernard Caïazzo, chairman of the supervisory board of the club from Saint-Etienne, during a videoconference organized on Sunday afternoon by the Première ligue union, of which he is the president. “For example, I asked the Federation if we were playing the match with the 2019-2020 season or the next one. I did not have an answer,” he added. As a reminder, if the meeting were to be held before September, it would take place without an audience at the Stade de France. Or at least, in front of 5,000 spectators maximum, the governor having prohibited gatherings above this people gauge until September.
