The Stéphanois club, under the cover of a closed camera suspended, will not be penalized after the incidents which erupted on the sidelines of the meeting of the 23rd day of Ligue 1 between Saint-Etienne and Marseille (0-2).

After the clashes between supporters and police around Geoffroy-Guichard Wednesday before the match between AS Saint-Etienne and OM (0-2), the LFP confirmed Wednesday that the suspension of the Greens would not fall not. “The incidents that took place took place outside the stadium and therefore fall outside our jurisdiction”, confirmed Sébastien Deneux, the president of the discipline committee of the League. The fights between supporters of the two clubs having broken out on the public highway, the club cannot therefore be held responsible for it.

After the massive use of pyrotechnic devices on December 15 during the meeting between Saint-Etienne and PSG (0-4), the Stéphanois were forced to play in an empty stadium on January 12 against Nantes (0-2 ) and remain subject to another total closed session with the suspension in progress.
