ASSE misses out on a nice coup in Ligue 2
Unless there is a miracle, ASSE will not win a place in the European Cup next season. AS Saint-Etienne is only 17th in Ligue 1. The management of Saint-Etienne is already preparing for next season and the Greens are notably planning to offer themselves a striker. He could come from Ligue 2.
According to Goal Football Club, ASSE would be interested in Adrian Grbic. Aged 23, the center-forward is currently playing at Clermont Foot, currently 5th in Ligue 2. The Austrian striker is having a blast this season with his club, he has indeed 17 goals and 4 assists, which makes Clermontois the second top scorer in the second division.
Although interested in Adrian Grbic, ASSE would not be able to afford it. But indeed reveals that the price demanded by the Clermont Foot would have reduced Saint-Etienne. The Ligue 2 resident is claiming 12 million euros to drop his striker, recruited last summer, who is under contract until 2022.
