He was the darling of Geoffroy Guichard. Recruited in 2015 from Rapid Vienna, Robert Beric quickly made a reputation in the Forez. Seriously injured against OL in November 2015, he was sidelined for long months on the ground because of a cruciate ligament rupture. Unwanted by Claude Puel, the Slovenian nevertheless scored the goal of victory in the derby in October 2019, just to close the loop. Three months later, he left ASSE for the United States and the Chicago Fire.
