After their superb victory against Juventus in the knockout stages of the Champions League (1-0), the Lyonnais want to continue on Sunday (21:00) against Saint-Etienne. Frank Schneider will lead this 120th derby which promises to be hot.
Frank Schneider has twice refereed both teams this season. As in all OL – ASSE, the atmosphere will be electric in the Parc OL. Sunday, Mr. Schneider (assisted by Djemel Zitouni and Bastien Courbet) will take part in the first derby of his career. The referee of the League of Alsace crossed the road to Lyonnais twice this season: during the 10th day of Ligue 1 and the reception of Dijon with a goalless draw (0-0), then, in the Coupe de France, on the occasion of the victorious 8th final against OGC Nice (1-2). The 40-year-old referee intervened in two Greens games: in a defeat at Angers (4-1), then in a draw against Montpellier (0-0).
