AS Saint-Etienne : ASSE attacks Stéphane Ruffier’s agent! | ASSE News

Left behind by Claude Puel since February 16, Stéphane Ruffier is having a difficult time at AS Saint-Etienne. A situation which had initially led to very harsh statements by his agent Patrick Glanz against the coach of the Greens. A media outing to which the Forézien club had replied via a press release suggesting that legal action was possible. A scenario that has become reality according to The team. The sports daily indeed reveals that ASSE has started legal proceedings to claim to Patric Glanz “The reimbursement of commissions received through the negotiation of French international contracts”, writes the newspaper.

Clearly, Glanz had been mandated by Saint-Etienne to recruit Ruffier in 2011. Hired as an agent for the Forézien club, Glanz was also involved in the negotiation of the contractor’s extension of the contract. Thanks to all his services, the businessman received € 1.5 million. Except that in his contract with ASSE, it was stipulated that Glanz had to respect the rules of FIFA and the FF and therefore should not be Ruffier’s agent. ASSE believes that the latter signed his media charges against the club by presenting himself as the historic agent of Ruffier. Saint-Etienne therefore claims reimbursement of the sums that the Greens paid him.
