On the sidelines of the derby between OL and the ASSE this Sunday, Bernard Lacombe interviewed the newspaper The Team and made glowing remarks towards Claude Puel, the coach of AS Saint-Etienne, which he had known when the latter officiated at Lyon between 2008 and 2011:
“Claude Puel, this is really not my cup of tea! He had signed a contract of a duration which is not often seen. He is not the person to speak to me about. What he did at Olympique Lyonnais and what he seems to be doing at the moment with the Greens of St Etienne, he will do it all the time. He had already done it at AS Monaco! “
Very strong words therefore from the former right-hand man of Jean-Michel Aulas to the OL who will surely have appreciated the victory of Gones of Rudi garcia in the derby facing the ASSE…
