Former French international and former Arsenal player, Mickael Sylvestre in particular, spoke about ASSE central defender William Saliba, who has now belonged to Arsenal since last summer’s transfer window:
“William Saliba will start as soon as he joins Arsenal next season. He currently plays for a struggling Saint-Etienne team, but his performances have been good and he has been consistent. Defensively, he is strong, so he will seek to impress in the preseason. He will have to adapt during this period, but he has enough time to learn from Arsenal staff and players. He is still very young but has great experience in Ligue 1. He will continue to learn from the current central defenders, but he will have an important role to play from day one. “
