Two years after leaving ASSE, Fabien Lemoine, now captain of FC Lorient, promoted to L1, said that he was really looking forward to returning to “Geoffroy” …
In an interview with the Dessous de Verts podcast, Fabien Lemoine, captain of FC Lorient, confirmed that he still had a green heart and that he had great memories of his years at ASSE and in particular Le Chaudron. “I experienced crazy emotions there! I wanted to go back to Ligue 1 to come back there. Personally, my goal was to replay Geoffroy-Guichard at least once before stopping my career. Coming back there will be great! “, explains the former Stéphanois (words transcribed by Poteaux Carrés).
“This stage is extraordinary”
“Grandpa” is looking forward to this return … ” It will be a very special moment for me to return to Geoffroy, I take it as a privilege. I’m also living some great moments here in Lorient, we just went upstairs, a project has started. But after, the Cauldron, you will not replace it in fact! That’s what makes the difference. In this club, that’s what really makes the difference. This stage is extraordinary. It’s a crazy thing ! You can do other stadiums – Marseille, of course, it’s also huge – for me having lived in Sainté and having experienced these emotions in the Cauldron… In Lorient the project is great, there is a dynamic, but at some point you cannot compare. In Sainté you have a stadium that is 15, 20, 50 times noisier or more passionate. However, I enjoy playing Le Moustoir every fortnight. But passion is different. This is not an insult to the Lorient supporters. “
