AS Saint-Etienne : OL get bogged down in front of Metz, Saint-Étienne bows for Dupraz’s premiere | ASSE News

OL in bad shape

This end of the year 2021 has everything a nightmare for OL. Tense by the excesses that have occurred in the stands in recent weeks and by internal tensions, the club did not take advantage of this final outing of the season to find a smile. On their lawn, the Lyonnais did not manage to take the best of a FC Metz once again catchy out of his land (1-1).

Peter Bosz’s men delivered a first cartoonish period during which they monopolized the ball without offering anything. Annoyed, the Dutch coach made three changes from the break. With an unstoppable header on a corner from Rayan Cherki, the young Castello Lukeba seemed to confirm the new dynamic of his family (56th). But like any sick team, Lyon broke three minutes later. In the area, Boubacar Traoré feigned Malo Gusto and adjusted Anthony Lopes (59th). Unable to restart, OL are in a very worrying 13th place. The Garnets are barragists.

Nantes overwhelms ASSE

After four consecutive losses in Ligue 1 and the arrival of Pascal Dupraz on the bench, ASSE’s first objective was to reassure itself against Nantes. Solid, the Greens have long believed to stop the bleeding before suffering a cruel defeat at the end of the match (0-1). Randal Kolo-Muani killed the match after a superb festival in the area (84th).

In search of confidence, the Stéphanois had first made sure to embarrass the Canaries, deprived of Ludovic Blas. In a very poor part technically and closed in double turn, only a timid attempt by Miguel Trauco awakened Alban Lafont (20th). The Nantes goalkeeper was impeccable on a clear opportunity from Arnaud Nordin (63rd). Too little to hope for a first victory since November 21. The Greens remain red lantern, Nantes is 7th.

Bordeaux overthrown by LOSC, Montpellier in great shape

Like its first part of the season, Bordeaux offered a spectacular match without obtaining a single point. The Girondins were overthrown by the LOSC after leading twice (2-3) and remain one point from the place of barrage. Alberth Elis offered himself a double. He first opened the scoring on a cross from Timothée Pembélé (18th), before putting his people back in charge before the break (45th). The French champion hung on thanks to a bright shot from Benjamin André (33rd) then made the difference on a penalty converted by Burak Yilmaz (76th) and a new decisive goal from Jonathan David (85th). Lille are 8th.

Against Angers, Montpellier confirmed its excellent form at the end of the year with a full match (4-1). The Hérault people have gleaned their fourth success in a row and are encrusted in the top 5. As often, Téji Savanier put his team on the right track with a free kick hit open side (15th). Nicolas Cozza (30th) doubled the bet, then Mihailo Ristic (51st) and Stephy Mavididi (77th) hit the nail on the head after the Angevin score reduction before the break. The SCO switches to the second part of the table.

Long led to the score against Brest on his lawn, Troyes struggled to get the point of the draw (1-1). On transition, Franck Honorat opened the scoring after a number on the left side (6th). Unable to destabilize the Breton bloc, ESTAC relied on Adil Rami. The 2018 world champion equalized on a scramble following a corner (80th). Laurent Batlles’ men stay out of the red zone.
