Fired for serious misconduct by AS Saint-Etienne after almost 10 seasons in the jersey of the Greens, Stéphane Ruffier who joined Bayonne, has decided to turn the page on professional football. However, the former goalkeeper of AS Monaco and therefore of ASSE, has not finished with the Forez club.
Indeed, Stéphane Ruffier seized the council of prud-men to assert his rights, and would claim no less than 5 million euros according to L’Equipe. An amount including unpaid wages, moral prejudice as well as a loss of professional opportunity.
For its part, AS Saint-Etienne would already have provisioned 2M € in the event that the dismissal would be considered abusive. An amount far from the 5M € claimed by Stéphane Ruffier.
