According to AFP, AS Saint-Etienne would like to part with two other big salaries, namely Ryad Boudebouz and Wahbi Khazri. Two players who were already pushed towards the exit during the last summer Mercato, but without success.
ASSE will he achieve its goals this summer? Under contract until 2022 with the Greens, the two players will not leave Saint-Etienne to please the Saint-Etienne leaders. Indeed, Boudebouz and Khazri will want to find their way financially, and apart from exotic destinations – Gulf countries in particular – it is unlikely that the two players will receive interesting offers.
Like last summer, AS Saint-Etienne will therefore have a hard time getting rid of Ryad Boudebouz and Wahbi Khazri. Which is not necessarily bad news for Claude Puel concerning the Tunisian international. Indeed, the latter, which seems to fit into the plans of the coach of ASSE, brings a touch of experience to a very young workforce.
