Zapping Goal! Football club ASSE: players at the end of their contract in 2021
After accumulating three yellow cards last season against Girondins de Bordeaux, Paris Saint-Germain, and LOSC, AS Saint-Etienne midfielder Yvan Neyou was logically sanctioned by the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League (LFP).
If there was any doubt that the sanction would be postponed to the 2021-2022 fiscal year, the sentence has been confirmed. It was Claude Puel himself who confirmed this after ASSE’s defeat against Clermont (3-2) in a friendly match. The technician from Saint-Etienne will therefore have to compose without his Cameroonian midfielder against FC Lorient, during the first day of the championship.
Yvan Neyou was suspended for one match, for having received a third yellow card in a period comprising 10 official matches. This sanction takes effect from Tuesday, May 25, so it will miss the first day of the 2021/2022 season. โ
