ASSE wins against OM, so what?
ASSE won against one of the big teams of this Ligue 1 championship playing a qualifying place for a European competition. It’s a real good performance because the manner was part of the game. But for all that, is it a victory that saves the Greens’ season? We’re talking about a good end of the season, but isn’t it too early because there are two games left?
We saw fit men (from Green to Khazri). Have we (finally) found the backbone of ASSE? We talk about it in this show.
AS Saint-Etienne training highlighted
The Football Observatory (CIES) highlighted the Saint-Etienne training in its new letter. Seventeen players from the training have been used this season in Ligue 1 by ASSE. And it is the best ratio of the league 1. These young players accumulate 35.03% of the playing time well in front of the Olympique Lyonnais (however famous for making play its nuggets made in Lyon) with a figure of 20.22% and therefore second of this classification.
Does this have to be a source of pride? Or does it hide the lack of budget to recruit higher caliber players? Maybe a bit of both …
