How do you approach this trip to Nîmes?
“We are expecting a very big game. It will be a fight. They are four wins in seven games. We are going to make the effort together because it is, I think, the most important game of the season. It can trigger a lot of things. Either way. We want to bring the three points back and look up. We repeat it in training, we just talk about it. This match is very important“.
Did you feel good about going into selection?
“Yes it made me change environment. I had to clear my head a bit. We qualified so it was perfect. After that, I came back earlier than expected because I wanted to concentrate as quickly as possible on Saint-Etienne. There is a maintenance to be sought.“
Personally, how are you living this season?
“I know that I am less efficient than last season. I try to help the collective as much as possible. Sometimes I am made to play in positions that are not mine but I adapt. I try to be efficient unfortunately this year it does not work too much so I run and I play for the collective.“
Do you read the reviews?
“Yes I see them. It affects me. I’m not used to being less efficient. Normally each season I progress and there I block. I miss things that I have never missed. After that it’s part of football. Critics touch me, but they also motivate me. I want to prove that it is not in my habits and that I work to be more efficient“.
You explained that you were very influenced by the absence of an audience in the stadiums …
“Yes for me it’s another season and another football. I lived it badly from the start of the season. I knew it was going to be very difficult. It’s extra pressure to tell yourself that no one is there to push you. I played for the supporters. I hope that the public will come back very quickly and that this season ends very quickly with the maintenance in the pocket“.
