The Professional Football League and EA Sports launched the League 1 Open this season. This new competition format for fans of Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs began on March 2 and will run until April 12. This tournament, which initially pits supporters of each club against each other, will allow the two winners on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 platforms to represent their club in a national playoff phase.

Competition format
The eLigue 1 Open, the supporters’ tournament, is played on the football simulation of EA Sports, FIFA 21 on Xbox One and Playstation 4. On each of these platforms, the competition will take place on the unique game mode “Kick sending – Mode 90 ”until the national final.
The tournament winners on each console and for each club will play a playoff phase on April 12 and 13. Divided into groups of three players, the top two from each group will qualify for the final phase scheduled for April 14. The top two national winners will advance to the 2020-2021 League 1 Draft qualifying tournament.
Club endowment
Players participating in the ASSE tournament will be rewarded from the round of 16. The two winners will have the chance to experience a match night behind the scenes at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, with the possibility of visiting the locker room, welcoming the players on their arrival at the stadium and attending the press conference of post-game. Like the other two finalists, they will attend a meeting in the VIP stand.
