AS Saint-Etienne : Football – Ligue 1: our prognosis for Saint-Étienne – Lille | ASSE News

LEAGUE 2 – DAY 12 – The shock at the top between Grenoble and Paris FC will have kept all its promises in terms of intensity, but the two teams failed to find the necessary accuracy to shake the nets. Final score 0-0.

Kick-off 2:55 p.m. – As it should happen on every football field this weekend, the two teams come together in the middle of the pitch to form an M in homage to the legend Diego Armando Maradona. Grenoblois and Parisians start the match with the same tactical scheme, a 4-3-3 which announces a good battle in the middle of the field.

A very balanced match

The Paris FC seems to want to take the game in hand and puts pressure from the first minutes. With two corners that will give nothing, if not to start the rhythm of the game. This is without counting on a reaction from the GF38 with a dangerous first cross of Yoric Ravet (9 ′) well repelled by the Parisian defense. The contacts are tough, Ali Abdi (Paris FC) gets the first yellow card (14 ′), for a strong tackle that could have deserved a red. Three minutes later, his teammate Morgan guilavogui will take the same price for a hand in the face of Loïc Nestor.

Men from Philippe Hinschberger hold the ball but it is René Girard’s men who are the most dangerous. With a strike entering the area of Florian Hanin (21 ′) and a head ofAli Abdi at the penalty spot (22 ′), the Parisians are very close to opening the scoring. The ball travels from one side of the field to the other, the Grenoblois respond to their opponent with a shot from Kevin tapoko, well cleared in corner by Vincent Demarconnay (24 ′). The first yellow card on the Grenoblois side will come in the 41st minute for Jordy gaspar following a foul on Julien Lopez. A lively first half with good intentions on each side ends (0-0).

Efforts that don’t pay off

The break has undoubtedly cooled the 22 players, the second half starts at a slower pace than the first. Only one thing to note in the first quarter of an hour, the replacement of Tapoko through Jessy benet (56 ′). Not much to eat afterwards, except for changes on both sides. For Grenoble, Djitté and Diallo give way to Semedo and Anani. While the Paris FC makes his first change with the entry into play of Warren caddy instead of Ali Abdi (65 ′). René Girard does not have his tongue in his pocket, he will receive a yellow card (75 ′). The game is as hectic on the sidelines as it is on the pitch, but there is a lack of clear chances. Phillipe hinschberger plays his last cards by bringing into play Abdallah and Henen at the expense of Gaspar and Ravet (80 ′).

The Parisians finished the match a little better, probably a little cooler than the Grenoblois players who played a game late in the week. It gets hot in front of the goals of Brice Maubleu (Grenoble) but it still lacks precision. Despite great intensity in this match, the two teams parted in a draw (0-0). There were only goals missed in this clash which still kept its promises. A status quo at the top of the standings which gives the pursuers the opportunity to pick up the first two places from this evening for the rest of this 12th day.
