AS Saint-Etienne : Mercato: Puel wants to extend two heroes from the start of the season | ASSE News

Rather discreet in the media, Romain Hamouma has split several interviews in recent weeks. To hammer home his message: even if he benefits from a retraining at AS Saint-Etienne and even if he is 33 years old, this 2020/21 season will not be his last. Next June, he will be free but he intends to continue playing. Among the Greens, preferably, or elsewhere.

His words did not fall on deaf ears. According to L’Equipe, Claude Puel would have submitted a contract extension to the one he has played at the forefront since the start of the season and who has already scored three goals, all magnificent: a curled strike from the right, another from the left against Lorient (2-0, 2nd day), a force from the left in Marseille (2-0, 1st day). By his performances since the start of the season, Hamouma has shown that he still had some under his sole, as long as the injuries left him alone. The leaders would offer him an additional year, subject to conditions (number of matches played, in particular), with salary maintenance, estimated at € 50,000 gross.

The Nordin contract concreted

Arnaud Nordin is still under contract for two seasons. There is no rush, then. But the winger seems to finally give the full measure of his talent and, if he explodes, he should not leave in exchange for a low compensation. This is why ASSE is keen to extend its contract. Like Romain Hamouma, Nordin had a very interesting start to the season, marked by this magnificent hook which put Marseillais Duje Caleta-Car in the wind on Sainté’s 2-0 action at the Vélodrome. L’Equipe explains that the leaders offered him an extension on Wednesday, without revealing the details.
