In search of a left-back, AS Saint-Etienne is reportedly eyeing Argentina.

If theAS Saint-Etienne has been active in recent weeks in order to downsize its squad, Lois Diony and Yann M’Vila having left the Forez club, the managers of Saint-Etienne expect to attract some reinforcements by the end of the summer transfer window.

This is particularly the case at the left-back position, as evidenced by the Greens’ interest in young Francisco Ortega. According to specialist Mauro Tracchia, ASSE would have asked Vélez Sarsfield to be loaned to the Argentine international prospect. In vain.

The Stéphanois could quickly return to the charge, however, with Francisco Ortega only having a one-year contract.
