The 2020-2021 Ligue 1 season will begin at the Vélodrome. The match between Olympique de Marseille and AS Saint-Étienne will open the first day of the championship, announced the Professional Football League. The kickoff of the meeting has been scheduled for Friday August 21 at 7:00 p.m. This will be the first French football poster to be broadcast by Téléfoot, the channel of the Mediapro group.
Three other meetings of this first day have also been scheduled. Dijon-Angers, Lorient-Strasbourg and Nîmes-Brest will compete on Sunday 23 August from 3 p.m. They will also be broadcast by Téléfoot.
The rest of the program known on August 8
The LFP indicates that the TV program for the rest of the first day will be communicated later, precisely on August 8. This therefore concerns these six matches: Bordeaux-Nantes, Lille-Rennes, Monaco-Reims, Montpellier-Lyon, Nice-Lens and Paris-Metz.
The matches of Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais will be postponed if they qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League. The UEFA calendar calls for these matches in Lisbon to take place on August 18 and 19.
