“The first Franco-French Mercato closed its doors on July 9… And, as expected, it was relatively quiet and soft. Few large transactions except for the signatures of Martin Terrier (ex-OL) in Rennes, Adrian Grbic (ex-Clermont) in Lorient or Paul Bernardoni (ex-Nîmes) at SCO Angers. Some clubs have succeeded and have strengthened themselves intelligently. I am thinking in particular of Lorient who struck hard. But also Metz, Brest, Nice and even Reims. I am a little disappointed by RC Lens who certainly signed a lot of players (Kakuta, Ganago, Medina, Farinez, Badé, Clauss) but who was often beaten on his first choices and who should still be doubled by Metz for Jérémy Gelin
