ASSE, currently engaged in a process of downsizing its workforce, will let one of its goalkeepers slip by. Claude Puel does not count on the latter who has even already found a base in Algeria.
ASSE should degrease in its goals
Alexis Guendouz is a little known name on the side ofAS Saint-Etienne. He is however at 24 years a goalkeeper from Saint-Etienne since July 1, 2017. Trained at the club, he had signed his first professional contract. But difficult to find a place in goals kept at the time by the excellent Stéphane Ruffier and his second Jessy Moulin. Necessarily, Alexis Guendouz has more proven himself in the reserve of the club from Stéphane where he joined FC Pau on loan, in 2018, for 2 seasons. But when he returned to AS Saint-Etienne, the passage was still as clogged, which explains why he had never been aligned by Claude Puel or by his predecessors.
Alexis Guendouz expected in Algiers?
To revive, Alexis Guendouz will change club and even country. He is hoped on the side of USM Algiers with whom he has already signed a contract. The arrival of the 24-year-old doorman is awaiting formalization while he is still linked to ASSE until June 2021. Everything therefore suggests that the Stéphanois leaders agreed to let him go and take his chance in Algeria. There, he should replace Mohamed-Lamine Zemmaouche. The 35-year-old Algerian international goalkeeper is expected to leave the club where he has played since 2011. Little information, however, about the details of the transfer of the ASSE goalkeeper. Alexis Guendouz was estimated at 150K € of market value on Transfertmarkt.
