Arrived at ASSE coming from AS Monaco during the Mercato in 2011, Stéphane Ruffier (33) is now sidelined from the first team on the side of St Etienne through Claude Puel who now trusts Jessy Moulin. And the keeper of AS Saint-Etienne would be more than ever on the start for this summer!
But according to information from Noon Free, Stéphane Ruffier would be very interested in joining the MHSC – Montpellier HSC ! However, the regional daily clearly states that the management of MHSC wishes to retain their Argentinian international goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, currently on loan to Montpellier HSC over there Real Sociedad. But the Hérault club would not have (for the time being a priori) the means to exercise the purchase option which would be fixed at 11 million euros for Rulli.
In case of failure in negotiations with the Real Sociedad for a possible permanent transfer of Geronimo Rulli, the track leading to Stéphane Ruffier of Greens of St Etienne could really get serious for the MHSC.
Case to follow therefore for the Mercato of the’ ASSE !
